At the Jetty, hop on a speedboat that will whisk you away for a one-hour scenic ride to Selingan Turtle Island
After checking into your rustic island accommodation, enjoy a local lunch at the cafeteria. Then you're free to spend the rest of the day exploring the island however you want, such as going for a dive in the ocean at your own expense
Or take in the high tides and good vibes by soaking up the sun on the beach
You can also spend the time learning more about turtles and the island through informative slide shows and a video presentation
In the evening, enjoy your dinner at the cafeteria and once you're done, stand for the Park Ranger, who will guide you the egg-laying site to witness the mother turtle laying eggs, the transferring of the eggs to the hatchery, and the releasing of hatchlings into the sea

Wake up early to enjoy your breakfast as you're surrounded by gleaming blue waters and the crisp scent of the ocean
After breakfast, it's time to depart Selingan Turtle Island and head back to the mainland

Your activities will include a visit to the centre's Outdoor Nursery to witness the morning feeding of orangutans in a natural habitat, scheduled video programme screening about orangutans at the Nature Education Centre, and stroll through the Exhibition Hall for more interesting facts and information

After a convenient pick-up at the Sandakan Airport or your hotel lobby, the driver will take you to Sabah Parks Jetty for a one-hour speedboat ride to Selingan Turtle Island, a safe haven for green and hawksbill turtles. Once you've checked into the island's charming and rustic accommodation, you're free to spend the rest of the day exploring this tiny island. Take leisure walks across the pristine beaches, lie down for a little sunbathing, or jump right into the sea for a snorkel around the nearby reefs (equipment rental at your own expense). The magic happens after dinner — the Park Ranger will guide to the nesting site to see mother turtles coming to beach to lay their eggs. Watch as the eggs are then collected to be put into a safe hatchery, and don't miss the chance to witness mature hatchlings being released into the sea.
After an unforgettable day and night at Selingan Island, it's time to return to the mainland to enjoy a guided tour of Sandakan's most popular places, the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Meet, watch, and even get the chance to feed cuddly orangutans in a protected natural environment as they go through rehabilitation before returning to the forest life.
