Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park

Tianmen Cave, also known as Heaven’s Gate, is a natural rock arch located at the top of Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie. At 131.5 meters high, it’s the world’s highest natural cave of its kind. Reached by climbing 999 steps or taking a cable car, the cave is a symbol of spiritual majesty and awe-inspiring nature.
The Tianmen Mountain Cableway, located in Zhangjiajie, is one of the longest mountain cable cars in the world, stretching over 7.4 kilometers. Starting from downtown Zhangjiajie, it ascends through steep cliffs and lush valleys to the mountain summit. The 30-minute ride offers breathtaking panoramic views and is a highlight of the Tianmen Mountain experience.
