The guide awaits you at the Genova Principe station to take the historic rack railway up to the hill of the Port of Genoa. Get off at the Granarolo terminus, a quiet hamlet characterized by villas, forts and historic powder magazines and known for a fantastic, unusual panorama over the city of Genoa.
From here begins an easy walk in the woods that takes you on the traces of the Roman road, the Via Postumia which connects Genoa to Aquileia in a distance of about 930 km. Go down along an ancient brick road and reach Bolzaneto.

Use a historic means of transport, the famous red cogwheel train that will take you up to the hill of the port of Genoa and admire the panorama of all of Genoa in the background.

Leaving Salita Granarolo, the Roman route of the Via Postumia begins. A walk through meadows and panoramic views to then admire some ancient ruins.
