Split, “The most beautiful city in the world," as its inhabitants like to say, is more than 1700 years old. Back in the 3rd century, Roman emperor Diocletian decided to build his retirement home here. His palace, UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments was a foundation of today`s Split. Join me on a tour and you will be able to see buildings from Roman times, 3500 year old sphinxes from Egypt, hear stories and legends about the history of Split, and experience a mixture of past and present day in the second largest city in Croatia.
