From Lisbon, you will go south by crossing the Tejo River by passing the Portuguese Golden Gate Bridge (25 of April Bridge). You will explore the south side of Lisbon (Arrábida, Sesimbra, Azeitão, and Espichel). Here you will enjoy beautiful beaches, frighteningly tall cliffs, an astonishing cape, a medieval well-preserved castle, a fishing village, a natural park, an abandoned monastery, and a local family-owned winery. The day will end by visiting vineyards and tasting 4 local wines. You will have an amazing and relaxing day away from the big tourist crowds.
The meeting point, at Avenida da Liberdade 9, in front of the Armani Exchange store
You'll cross the April 25th Bridge (a lookalike of the Golden Gate Bridge), a giant and scenic suspension bridge that connects the north and south sides of Lisbon. It was renamed after the revolution day (April 25th) that finished the Salazar dictatorship in 1974.
The Albufeira Lagoon is a protected area on the western side of the Setúbal Peninsula. It’s a combination of pine trees, beautiful beaches, small lagoons (the deepest in Portugal), and birdwatching. It’s a popular weekend beach destination for locals and famous for water sports.
