Make the most of your time in Barcelona with this perfectly balanced small-group tour that combines a guided city highlights tour — including the Sagrada Família — with a scenic visit to the iconic mountain sanctuary of Montserrat. Start your day exploring some of Barcelona’s most emblematic sites with a local guide, from the elegant boulevards of the Eixample to the Gothic Quarter’s winding medieval streets, and the astonishing architecture of Antoni Gaudí. Then escape the city and head into the Catalan countryside for an unforgettable visit to Montserrat, a spectacular mountain range home to a centuries-old Benedictine monastery and the revered Virgin of Montserrat. Take in panoramic views, walk through the natural park, or explore the monastery at your own pace. This is a relaxed yet immersive way to experience the best of both Barcelona and Montserrat — ideal for travellers with limited time who don’t want to miss either.
Your day starts with a walking tour of the oldest part of Barcelona, the Gothic Quarter. You will be guided through the old medieval streets, learning all about the ancient history of Barcelona. The part of the tour also visits the historic old Jewish Quarter.
As we leave the Gothic Quarter, you will stop in front of the magnificent Barcelona Cathdral.
The last part of your walking tours takes you through the winding streets of the Born District, where you'll pass the Picasso Museum. The Born is famous for its many boutique-style shops and local restaurants and bars. Your guide will be happy to make some recommendations.
