San Felice del Benaco with its majestic Villa Portesina overlooking the Gulf of Salò, one kilometer from Portese, is a mansion steeped in history. In 1911, Baroness De La Fontaine bought the agricultural estate with the attached farmhouse. After its demolition, the late 19th-century eclectic style villa on the lake was built, completed by the important park, adorned with valuable statues and cobblestone paths, the caretaker's house, the tennis court, and a pier for mooring boats, later transformed into an important covered dock.
