We are located in Atenas, Alajuela, "The Best Climate in the World". We will do the tour in a collectible 4x4 vehicle, a 1972 or 1970 Land Rover. At the highest part of the tour we will be able to appreciate beautiful panoramic views of the entire Central Valley of the country and the Western Zone, you will be able to take magnificent photographs during the tour; You will be able to feel the adrenaline of traveling on roads that only the 4x4 is capable of traveling. We will visit one of the highest hills in Athens. We will make a stop to appreciate the emblematic "Piedra la Zopilota" where we will have a small snack and rest to appreciate the landscape, continuing with the journey, we will visit the well-known "Cerro Pelón" where we will be able to appreciate a unique view of the Central Pacific coast, ending the tour at the same meeting point. They will make you feel at home.
We begin the tour along Pocitos Street, where we will make a stop to see a drinking water collection from the local aqueduct (ASADA), which supplies the community. We will explain the process of collecting, processing and distributing water. We will also explain about the different flora and fauna of the place. We will continue our tour along Calle Pocitos to Calle la "Cima", the natural boundary between Atenas and Palmares, where you can take magnificent photographs of the panorama.
Our tour takes us along Calle la "Cima" crossing one of the highest hills in Atenas, to reach the emblematic "Piedra la zopilota" where we will make a stop so that those who wish and can (with caution) climb the stone, Otherwise, no problem, you can admire the landscape and enjoy the beautiful views, there at the "Piedra Zopilota" we will be giving you a small snack, then we would be continuing the tour to the next point of interest
Our route takes us along Calle División to "Cerro Pelón" where a short walk of about 300 meters will test our physical condition, but the effort is worth it, when we arrive we will have a magnificent panoramic view of a part of the Pacific Coast, from the Gulf of Nicoya to the mouth of the Tarcoles River, and if you take the tour in summer in the afternoon, we can admire a simply incredible sunset.
