The sky holds indescribable marvels in this day tour that takes you out of the metropolis in Perth and out to the Pinnacle Desert. There, away from the concrete jungle, light pollution, and noise, you can relax and enjoy a stargazing experience. T
ravel north out of Perth and make your first stop at Yanchep National Park. After some rest and comfort here, you can visit the kangaroos and cuddle some of the koalas. It's a great refresher from city life before fully immersing oneself in nature, as your next stop is at Pinnacle Desert itself.
Here you can study some mystical limestone rocks, consider their origins, and prepare for the dazzling sunset. This desert becomes even more otherworldly during sunset, as the long shadows are cast over the moon-like surface, and the sky has painted an array of colors by the setting sun. As darkness falls, you head for Cervantes, a local fishing town, where you can enjoy dinner before heading back to the desert to stargaze.
With no light pollution and far away from the city's tangle, the sky is even more immense and full of the stars with an unhindered view. The Observation Deck is a great place to try spotting some constellations or identifying stars, but you can also relax and soak up the glory of the night sky. It's a wonderful memory to take with you as you head back to Perth to end your expedition.
