We will promenade Paris' chic and historic 'Passages Coverts' on our way to tasting the award winning (and up-and-coming) coffees...and the pastries that pair well.
Time to get our hands in the beans! Let's discover an intro to coffee roasting from bean to cup...and take a bag home to remember our own, 'French Roast' -- Made in Paris! In a long forgotten (and now restored) French National Historic Monument, we will go inside a 'torrefacteur' -- a coffee roaster hidden away from the street -- where we will discover the process starting from the raw beans and ending in a croissant-and-coffee pairing worthy of Paris' reputation as pastry capital of the world.
We will explore the old 'Belly of Paris' -- Paris' noted 'food avenue' where we will taste the croissants and elegant 'patisseries fines' that pair well with our selected coffees from 3 Notable Parisian roasters as well as visit the historic patisserie of the King and Queen's baker... Nothing pairs so well with history and stunning surroundings as our favorite croissants and pastries...and there coffees worthy of such mastery! Plus, we will visit a hidden alley, tucked away from the hustle and bustle, known for Paris' best up-and-coming pastries, cheeses, coffee, and other food shops. Get in on the locals' secrets!
