We will see the most beautiful churches in Ohrid, called “the Balkan Jerusalem”, for a good reason. We will climb up on top of the hill, to the “Samoil Fortress”, and take photos and admire the breath-taking lake views.
The portraits of the six Roman popes are painted inside the church, which reflects the relations between the Eastern and the Western church before the schism in 1054. Its magnificent architecture is one of the most beautiful buildings in the Byzantine architecture in general.
