We would start our street food tour at a tlayudas stand, which is a typical dish from Oaxaca. Tlayudas are a kind of large, crunchy tortilla made by hand, which is covered with refried beans, quesillo, avocado, beef jerky, and a variety of sauces. They are absolutely delicious!
Parque Juarez El Llano
Finally, we would go to a taco stall. Tacos de tasajo are beef tacos with a variety of toppings such as onion, cilantro, and lemon. These tacos are very popular in Oaxaca and are one of the most sought after street foods.
After trying the tlayudas, we would head to another food stall to taste the garnachas. Garnachas are a kind of fried toast, covered with shredded pork, lettuce, cheese and sauce. This combination of ingredients gives Garnachas an incredibly rich and flavorful flavor.
