After a pick up at 6:00am from your hotel/airport, Begin your tour to Nairobi National park through the main gate for a 3 hour game drive. Your guide will be aiming to show you as much variety of animals as possible. If you’re lucky, you may spot the rhinos and lions getting ready for the morning and giraffes, impalas and much more. Even though downtown Nairobi is a few miles away, this is no city zoo or theme park. Despite this being the oldest (1946) and one of its smallest parks in Kenya, sightings of lions and hyenas are regular. It boasts of over 400 species of birds including the majestic Ostrich. Kifaru is Swahili for rhinoceros – the park supports the largest population of endangered black rhinos in Kenya. Appropriately, the park has earned the nickname Kifaru Ark. As the population of rhinos here continues to grow, the park has become a source of the endangered species, supplying them to other parks around the country

This handiwork is the creation of hundreds of determined and skilled women who craft these ceramic beads, making artistic jewelry that’s seen and sold all over the world. Begun in 1975 with just two single mothers, the center quickly grew as an enterprise for disadvantaged women where they could better themselves and their life opportunities. Here, we’ll be able to view the artists at work and visit the gift shop for souvenirs to support this very special business.
