This type of forest is only found on one other spot in the Pacific, and that is on the Maderas Volcano in Ometepe. On the Mombacho volcano, you can walk around one of the craters or hike around several craters. Besides lots of different trees and plants that thrive because of the cloud forest's humidity, you can also observe howler and white face monkeys, as well as snakes, deer, reptiles, birds, and insects. Several endemic species live on Mombacho. There are three types of trails: The Crater, El Tigrillo, and El Puma. The zip line spans more than 2 kilometers, features 17 platforms, 11 cables, and three hanging bridges, all set in a fantastic forest. Admire the beauty of Volcano Mombacho while swinging from tree to tree, like Tarzan in the jungle.
