Step away from typical tourist spots and discover a heartwarming side of Tokyo through one of Japan’s cutest food traditions—Character Bento (Kyaraben)! These adorable lunch boxes are lovingly made, often by parents for their children. In this 2-hour hands-on workshop, you'll create your own character bento from scratch, using traditional home-style techniques. The workshop takes place in Nakanobu, a local neighborhood applox. 30-40 minutes from Shinjuku (via Gotanda and Toei subway). Unlike places like Asakusa, Nakanobu and nearby Togoshi remain authentic, with retro shopping streets and a welcoming, everyday Tokyo vibe. You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, have the choice to make your own way to the meeting points
Please arrive at the pick up point 40 minutes before departure time.
Additional Information
We offer pick-up from Gotanda and Toei Nakanobu stations. For groups of four, alternate pick-up locations may be available—please contact us. The vehicle seats up to four people. If you choose pick-up, look for a driver holding a 'TASTE NIPPON' sign at the meeting point.
