Set sail from Virpazar and cruise on the open waters of Lake Skadar. Admire the greenery of the river channel that leads you towards the open lake. See the ruins of the walls of the Grmožur fortress, rising from the water of Lake Skadar.
This fort is a former prison and is known as Montenegrin Alcatraz. Various species of birds make their nests on the walls, and it's an excellent place for birdwatching and creating some wonderful pictures.
Continue your cruise towards the mouth of the Morača River, where one of the bird reserves is located. Make a stop up the hill on the Vranjina peninsula to visit the 13th-century Orthodox monastery of St. Nicholas.
After that, return to the ship from where you set sail back to Virpazar. In the meantime, you can decide to swim in the river or in the open lake.
First 20minutes of the tour we move down the small river Crmnica, that goes in the lake, and make our way towards the first point of interest. Once we get to the lake we can take a look in the direction of Albania and the Montenegrin Alcatraz- Grmožur.
