—Introduction to Kimono Brands— Rei Kimono is an authentic Japanese kimono shop that supports Chinese, English and Japanese. It allows free cross-store returns. The shops are spread across major scenic spots and are within walking distance of famous attractions such as Kiyomizu Temple and Yasaka Shrine. There are 2 shops in Kyoto: Gion Main Store and Kiyomizu Temple Store (a new store opened in May 2024).

We recommend that you prepare it early to avoid congestion.

• The earliest reservation time is 9:00. Kimono return time is 17:30 and the store closes at 18:00. Please be sure to return the kimono before the end of business. It is recommended to prepare early to avoid congestion. Late returns will incur a late fee
• You can store your luggage for free if you rent and return it in the same store. If you need to return it in another store (between the main store in Gion and the Kiyomizu-dera store), you need to confirm with the store staff on site. If you return it in another store, you need to take your own clothes and luggage with you. The store staff will not be responsible for transportation.
• The latest time to wear kimono is 15:00, please be sure to arrive before this time
• Guests with appointments will be given priority. Please be sure to arrive on time at the agreed time. Please be aware that you will need to queue up again if you are late due to your own reasons.
• Free dressing table and cosmetics are provided. If you need makeup from the store staff, please purchase makeup items.
• The service time in the kimono shop is 1.5-2 hours (including choosing clothes, wearing kimonos, doing hair styles, etc.), which depends on the number of reservations. Please plan your travel time reasonably
• Pregnant women are prohibited from experiencing kimono. We will not accept pregnant women to experience it in the store. Pregnant women are requested to check themselves. All consequences and losses arising from not informing the pregnant woman in advance shall be borne by the pregnant woman herself. Please be aware
• For customers of this store, your portrait rights will be used for promotional purposes by default. If you mind, please inform our customer service in advance.
• Please note that there may be a wait during peak seasons (such as cherry blossom season and maple leaf season).
• Makeup and hairstyle are only available for those who rent kimonos. If you book makeup and hairstyle separately, the service will be cancelled.
