Yapahuwa Rock Fortress

Yapahuwa is a historical site in Sri Lanka with rich cultural and architectural significance. It was once a fortress and served as the capital of Sri Lanka briefly during the 13th century under King Bhuvanekabahu I. Yapahuwa is famous for its impressive rock fortress and the intricate stone staircase that leads up to a stupa, which remains one of its most iconic features.
