Museu Afro Brasil, in Ibirapuera Park (São Paulo), celebrates African and Afro-Brazilian heritage through art, history, and culture. Housed in Oscar Niemeyer’s modernist Padre Manoel da Nóbrega Pavilion, it opened in 2004. Its 6,000+ artworks explore slavery, resistance, religion, and African influences in Brazil. Highlights include pieces by Carybé, Rubem Valentim, and Mestre Didi, plus sacred orishas and musical instruments. With free admission, it hosts exhibitions, workshops, and events, promoting dialogue on racial equality. A must-visit for understanding Brazil’s Black legacy.
