Embark on a unique Louisiana Swamp adventure! Starting at the West Pearl River in Slidell, Louisiana, check in at the gift shop overlooking the Tupelo and Cypress swamp. Before the 2-hour journey through 70,000 acres of Honey Island Swamp, catch a glimpse of potential backyard visitors in the murky waters. As you walk down the dock, enjoy the moss-draped cypress trees and the sweet smell of wild azaleas. Your guide will share fascinating tales of pirates, Bigfoot, and prehistoric creatures. Keep an eye out for alligators, herons, otters, raccoons, and bald eagles. Pass through the Cajun village where local fishermen catch bluegill, bass, and crawfish. The boats, approved by the US Coast Guard, accommodate 20-24 people and are operated by experienced local guides. The tour concludes as the captain returns to the starting location.
