Nairobi Railway Museum

The Nairobi Railway Museum is located at the northwest end of Nairobi Station, gives you insight into the historical and commercial significance. It features relics and records of the railways found in East Africa, such as a collection of steam locomotives, rolling stock, small exhibits, models and many other artifacts. The museums four sections are divided into a main gallery, museum resource center, auditorium and outdoor display area. The main gallery is where you will find company crests of the railways of East Africa, the most prominent being the Uganda Railways, Tanganyika Railways, Kenya Railways and East Africa Railways.

National Archives

If you are a research enthusiast or just a truth seeker and lover of art, history and culture, the Kenya National Archives is a discerning local attraction in Nairobi to spend some time browsing the exhibits and perhaps even conducting some of your own research. It was created through an act of the Kenyan Parliament in 1965 with a mission to preserve significant public records and national documents, as well as a large collection of African arts, such as basketry, pottery, traditional weaponry, masks, ornamental art, sculptures, paintings, beadwork, textiles and photography. Some of the oldest and rarest documents at the archive are the 17th century records, reports and diaries of the Church Missionary Society.

Kenyatta International Conference Center

The Kenyatta International Convention Centre is an icon and landmark due to its architectural and impressive structure standing at 105 meters tall. It is named after the first president of the republic of Kenya. Kenyatta International Convention Centre is located at the heart of the central business district of capital city Nairobi, it boasts of its proximity and easy accessibility to and from all major five-star hotels, most of which are ten minutes’ walk and five minutes away by car.
