-What you can expect-
Go fjord kayaking in a unique setting with snow-topped mountains, waterfalls and idyllic farms clinging to the mountainsides around you. The passage through Nærøyfjord is one of the most dramatic fjord trips in the world and this trip will explore the historic area around it.
Your experience starts with a scenic drive to Nærøyfjord. The name Nærøyfjord originates from the norse god ‘Njord’, the God of the Seafarer and the sea. It is an arm of the Sognefjord, which is the largest and best known fjord in Norway. The area around it has played an important role linking together western and central Norway for centuries and is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
Upon arrival you will get geared up with all the needed equipment and you will receive safety instructions before you start paddling. You will go on a discovery of various places around the fjord, including some that are only accessible by kayak. You will also stop in a beautiful location on the fjord for a snack/lunch. At the end of the kayaking experience you will drive back to Voss with plenty of photos and long lasting memories.

- Meeting point description: Please meet your guide at the Outdoor Norway operational base. The office is located approximately 300 meters from the Fleischer’s Hotel and Voss Gondola.(Evangervegen 32, 5704 Vossevangen, Norway)
- Minimum age to participate: 4 years
- Weight limit: 120kg maximum
- Height limit: 210cm maximum
- All participants must be able to swim
- You will be kayaking for 3 to 4 hours
- Bring swimwear, footwear you don’t mind getting wet, warm wool or synthetic thermals, a sun hat, a change of clothes, sun screen, water, lunch and snacks
