We'll begin the tour with a visit to the El Alamein War Museum. Modern, digital displays explain the history of the North African campaign and put the battle into context.
You can see Relics of World War II and the military equipment including tanks, guns, armored vehicles, maps, and uniforms. Explore the halls dedicated to each country involved in the war, learn about the strategies employed by Montgomery and Rommel, and see photographs and documents. See some of the fields of battle and head westward to visit the poignant military cemeteries and memorials. Then we'll see the Commonwealth War Cemetery where more than 7,000 soldiers are laid to rest, and see the imposing memorials built to honor fallen Greek, Italian, and German troops.
