You are going to immerse yourself in a typical day of the Andean communities of PATACANCHA to share learning the ancestral traditions that have been maintained over time. You will spend a full day as a true local, learning and walking in unspool places between alpacas y llama away from crowded places where you will find a more intimate space and connections with the local culture.
This will be our meeting point so that we leave at 7 a.m. Being 15 minutes early is useful to be able to leave on time, considering the 3-hour journey to reach the community of Patacancha.
Ollantaytambo was one of the most important cities of the Inca Empire. We will stop here to allow everyone to use the toilet and buy what they may need to use during the day.
Immerse yourself in a typical day of the Andean communities of Patacancha to share learning the ancestral traditions that have been maintained over time. You will live the real experience of the activities that the community members do during the day, learning the customs and ancestral techniques of the Inca to have the best memories to bring back home. When you arrive at the community you will be warmly welcomed with dances and with the Inca drink, coca or muña tea. You will dress up in typical costumes and you will go to visit the Chaullacocha lagoons at an altitude of 3900m. Our friend Juan, leader of the community will teach you how to harvest the native potatoes and extract the natural color of the plants to dye the alpaca wool and weave shawls, sweaters or bracelets with their intense colors that commoners will challenge you to make to bring with you as a gift. You are going to lunch their typical food made with natural products and spend some free time within the community.
