We’ll kick things off at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC Barranco) — a peaceful, leafy spot that sets the vibe for what’s to come. Here, we’ll break the ice, give you the lowdown on the tour, and explain what makes this experience so different from any typical tourist walk. Bonus Moment: We’ll launch our first drone flight here to start capturing your journey from above — so smile, you’re about to become the star of your own travel video!
Stop 2: Emoliente – Sip an Ancestral Elixir Time to drink like the locals — and the ancestors! At this stop, we’ll try emoliente, a traditional Peruvian herbal drink packed with natural ingredients from the Andes and Amazon. It’s warm, healing, and made with a blend of herbs that showcase the incredible biodiversity of Peru. Not just a drink — it’s a potion passed down from Inca times, believed to cure everything from a cold to heartbreak. Let’s toast to your health — Peruvian style!
Stop 3: Traditional Peruvian Breakfast in Old Santiago de Surco We’ll head into the oldest part of Barranco, the historic Santiago de Surco district, to enjoy a classic Peruvian breakfast at a beloved local joint — the kind of place only locals know about. On the menu: Chicharrón – crispy, deep-fried pork Camote frito – golden sweet potato slices Salsa criolla – a zesty onion and lime topping Tamal – soft, savory corn dough filled with seasoned meat Freshly brewed Peruvian coffee and toasted bread to round it out ✨ It’s a full-on feast, just like Sundays at grandma’s house — bold, comforting, and unforgettable.
