Piazza della Repubblica
Piazza della Repubblica marks the site of the forum, the centre of the Roman city. The exact present site of the Colonna dell'Abbondanza marks the intersection of the axes of the cardo and decumanus
Mercato del Porcellino
The loggia was built around the middle of the 16th century in the heart of the city, just a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio. Initially, it was intended for the sale of silk and luxury goods, but today mainly leather goods and souvenirs are sold. The focal point of the loggia is the Fountain of the Piglet.
Piazza della Signoria
In the center of Florence lies Piazza della Signoria. Established as a representation of Medici authority and boasting remarkable artistic grandeur, the square hosts the main building of Florence's government, Palazzo Vecchio, and serves as a backdrop for statues and artworks that appear strikingly lifelike.
