Aarati (Arati) Pooja at Pashupatinath temple is an extraordinary cultural experience one can witness in Kathmandu. This event takes place every evening at around 6:00 PM - 7:00PM depending on season and lasts for an hour. Our guide and driver will meet you between 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at your hotel to take you to this mesmerizing event.
Besides Pashupatinath temple, the tour includes observing cremation of dead bodies on the bank of holy Bagmati River and visiting other monuments within the surrounding area. The Aarati Pooja is basically a day closing ceremony offering light, flower, incenses and other objects to Lord Shiva to whom the temple is dedicated to. The Ceremony is led by Hindu Bramhin Priests amidst the live Bhajana (devotional music) joined by hundreds of devotees.
We are the first team to bring this unique cultural event to the travelers to witness that can give a lasting impression within a short stroll of a free evening in Kathmandu.
