Discover historical Delft with this GPS based audio tour. In about 2 hours, you will see and hear a lot about the city that would otherwise go unnoticed.
You do not need an internet connection during the tour and you can pause and resume the tour at any moment you like.
On this tour, you will:
• Learn all about the brutal assassination of William of Orange (and what we did to the killer) • Peak into Delft’s smallest museum • Get to know the powerful Dutch East India Company • Hear the modern mystery of the actual house where Vermeer made his paintings • Find out how we copied a Chinese product and started a famous tradition • See several impressive churches, our cute town hall, the water board, and a former weapons arsenal • Listen to the story of the man who discovered a hidden world full of 'little animals' • Get an impression of Delft's student culture, and its lost beer brewing industry
See you in Delft!
After stepping through the gate, this tour will first take you through the Prinsenhof garden. You'll learn about our Father of the Fatherland here. Who was he, how was he killed, and what did we do to the killer? Don't worry, you'll find out.
Of course you will see the Old Church from all angles too. I'll tell you all about it. And yes, it is leaning.
After inspecting the Old Church, and the smallest museum of Delft (you'll see), you are now in front oft he oldest house of Delft. Since 1645 it is our Water Board. Impressive facade, but what is it?
You will make your own way to the meeting points
