Pyramids of Giza
First, Cairo: You will be picked up from your hotel, airport, or preferred location in Cairo or Giza. Secondly, Pyramids of Giza: Witness the breathtaking majesty of the Pyramids of Giza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Marvel at the Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu), the largest of the three pyramids, and explore the mysteries of Khafre's Pyramid and the Menkaure Pyramid. Behold the enigmatic Great Sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human, guarding the ancient necropolis with its enigmatic gaze. (Entering the pyramids from inside requires an extra ticket).
Menkaure Pyramid
Pass by The Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three main pyramids at Giza. It was built for Pharaoh Menkaure during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. It stands approximately 65 meters tall with a base measuring 102 meters on each side. The pyramid was originally covered in smooth Tura limestone, but much of it has been removed over time. Inside, there are three chambers designed to hold the Pharaoh's sarcophagus and funerary equipment. The pyramid was built with granite blocks at its base, which is unique. The complex includes smaller pyramids for Menkaure's queens, a mortuary temple, a causeway, and a valley temple. Visitors can explore the exterior of the pyramid and the complex as part of a guided tour of the Giza Plateau.
Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids
