Lata Iskandar is a waterfall along the trunk road from Tapah to Cameron Highlands, located about 25km before Ringlet. The waterfall cascades over several tiers of granite slopes, with the last drop at 25 meters high flowing into a small pool below, before resuming its journey as a narrow stream. On weekends, the waterfall is overrun by tourists and local visitors.
Bharat is the second-largest tea producer in Cameron Highlands, with plantations in Tanah Rata and Tringkap that grow their signature brand 'Cameron Valley'. Its primary estate is nestled along the main road at Tanah Rata, about 2km before town or 6km after Ringlet. The plantation has two tea houses situated slightly apart from each other along the main road. The first tea house offers a walk down the valley to a small park and waterfall, while the second tea house is housed in a larger complex with bigger parking space. Both centers feature a product shop and café with decks that overlook impressive views of the valley. The cafés offer some special tea blends inspired by Sri Lankan and South Indian flavors, such as Masala Chai and Cardamom Tea.
Cameron Highlands has attracted visitors to its cool jungles, quaint Tudor-style houses, fresh vegetables and fragrant teas. Cameron Highlands is one of the country’s most fertile agricultural spots, possessing all the right attributes for growing outstanding tea, and is situated over 5,000 feet above sea level on the main mountain range of Malaysia. The true character of BOH’s teas is greatly influenced by the conditions at the tea gardens; namely high altitude, low temperatures, abundant rainfall and acidic soil. With amazing landscapes and stunning panoramic views, the tea gardens are truly picturesque.
