What's included in Borough Market Visit & Cooking Class in London with a Food Professional
(Subject to Option Inclusions)This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Your experience begins with a walk through Borough market. During your one hour market tour, walk through the many stalls heaped with fresh produce, cheese, gourmet food and beautiful patisseries. Hear stories of the the history of the market as you stop at a few stalls to sample food and purchase ingredients for your cooking class. After you have finished with the market tour, you will make your way back to Simon's home. Simon has a fully operational kitchen which is perfect for a hands-on cooking class. During your 1-2 hour class you will learn to make two to three dishes, using seasonal ingredients. Simon will introduce you to the dishes that you will be preparing and the ingredients used. Then help him to wash, cut and prepare the meal that you will later share at the dining table. Important: Unfortunately, Simon does not offer this experience to solo travelers, unless if you're willing to pay for two. Also, this experience is not suitable for children below 13 years of age. Please note that DB can offer a vegetarian meal on request. And the activity ends at Simon's home.
