Just head to Yellow Bikes, which has been renting bikes since 1990. They’re located in the city center and offer various bike tours and 24-hour rentals. The friendly staff will help you get set up quickly.

**Tip:** Remember, locals bike in Amsterdam every day, but you don’t. Stick to the right side of the bike lanes until you feel comfortable, and pay attention to how locals use hand signals. Then you can do the same!

  • A deposit is required (€50 per bike or the copy of your credit card)
  • Groups of 4 or less need to provide a valid ID. Groups of 5 or more need to provide two valid IDs
  • Bikes are in different sizes! Because not everyone is the same length. Saddles are adjustable 
  • Bikes are fitted with both a handbrake (front wheel) and a pedal brake for your safety 
  • Bikes are custom made: lightweight, but have a strong frame
