While cars are great to get you to some of the more popular tourist spots, one of the best ways to discover Bangkok’s culture is by cycling through the city’s narrow streets and visiting some of the locals’ favorite haunts. We’ll bring you to temples, forts, markets, railways, churches, local neighborhoods, and even an art gallery – all in just half a day! We’ll start the day early and meet at the bike rental shop where you’ll be outfitted with your bike and helmet and given a quick briefing. Once we’re all set, we’ll cycle to Phra Sumen Fort. This octagonal-shaped bunker was built by King Rama I as one of many defenses to protect the capital. We’ll take photos of the intriguing, white exterior before we head to the port.
From there, we’ll board a ferry and cross the Chao Phraya River before heading to the vibrant Wang Lang Market.
This 30-year-old institution is a prime foodie destination, especially among local university students and nearby citizens.
