Itinerary

We will explore the most important hill in in the city which was the political centre of Ancient Rome. Here we will see famous Piazza del Campidoglio with the equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius and the symbol of Rome, the famous bronze statue she-wolf.

Located at the foot of Capitoline Hill it is the oldest temple on the Roman Forum and the second oldest known temple in Rome.

Teatro di Marcello

Founded in 13 BC, Teatro Marcello was the largest open-air theatre in ancient Rome. The architecture and design of the theatre were copied numerous times during the Roman Empire and influenced many important buildings, including the symbol of Rome, Colosseum, which was built many years later in 72 BC.
