The refuge is the result of Alice's big dream: to live in harmony with nature and animals. After leaving Rome to settle in Sardinia, she devoted all her energy to realising this project. Thanks to the support of numerous supporters and personal sacrifices, she managed to create a welcoming environment for more than 150 animals, rescued from dangerous situations such as slaughterhouses, abandonment or exploitation. Alice shares: ‘Freedom is at the heart of this place, even if it involves sacrifices to ensure the peaceful co-existence of different species. However, every effort is repaid by the joy of seeing a goat, once destined for slaughter, running free in our space’.
