Escadaria Selaron

The Selarón Staircase is an architectural work located between the neighborhoods of Santa Teresa and Lapa, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, decorated by long-standing Chilean artist Jorge Selarón, who declared it as a "tribute to the Brazilian people" . Opened in 1909, the Municipal Theater is one of the main venues in Brazil and Latin America. In the last renovation, gems were found as a large original panel by the Italian Eliseu Visconti were rescued. Important areas of the Theater have been restored, with an emphasis on the imposing 350kg eagle that adorns the top of the building, which received 8 thousand gold leaves 23 carats of gilding.

Praça Mauá is a square located in the Centro neighborhood, in the Central Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. With an area of about 25 thousand m², it is part of Orla Conde, a public promenade that borders the Guanabara Bay.
