Zhujiajiao is an ancient town in the Qingpu District of Shanghai.Established 1,700 years ago, Zhujiajiao was an important trading hub for the surrounding countryside, many of the architectures date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Known as eastern Venice!we also arrange a wooden boat trip for you in water town ,the oarsman rowing a wooden boat take you go through the canals ! At noon, the guide will take you to taste the local specialties of the ancient town. After visiting Zhujiajiao, we will take you back to Shanghai to visit the Silk Museum, where you can learn how silk changed from a cicada pupa into silk, and understand the history of Chinese silk culture and products

Zhujiajiao is an ancient town located at the bank of the Dianshan Lake in Qingpu District in China. The town, with a history of over 1,000 years, is the most well reserved ancient town in Shanghai and has been known as “baiVenice of Shanghai” for its simple but attractive appearance typical of towns in the south part of China. In 1991, it was designated by the State Council as the “Well-Known Chinese Cultural Town”.
Jiangnan Silk is a treasure in the local traditional silk weaving industry, and silk is an important embodiment of Chinese civilization. This is the silk factory. You will see the whole process of making silk and silk products.
