Our first stop is the Castello Normanno, a remarkable Norman fortress perched on a volcanic rock above the sea. This medieval castle has stood for centuries, guarding the coast and preserving its rich history. You'll enjoy a guided panoramic walk, where you'll learn about the castle's strategic significance and its historical role in the region.
Aci Castello
Next, we pause for a refreshing experience at a traditional Sicilian chiosco, where you will taste unique and historic sparkling drinks. Sample local specialties like selz with green mandarin and lemon—fizzy, aromatic drinks that are part of Sicily’s deep-rooted culinary heritage.
Acitrezza
We continue to Acitrezza, a picturesque fishing village that has inspired many Italian literary masters. This ancient town, with its charming port and rugged coastline, is steeped in myth. Here in the summer, we can also pause for a swim in crystal-clear waters, as this area is a natural reserve.
