Founded in the 8th century BC, Cuma was the oldest Greek colony in Campania surrounded by an imposing city wall made of tufa rock. The archaeological park includes the Acropolis, the sacred area with the oldest temples, while the agorà with its public buildings is located in the lower city. To make unique the archaeological site of Cuma is, however, the presence of the so-called Sybil's Cave, a macabre place where the prophetess gave her oracles. The guided tour includes the visit to the hill currently open to the public, with the Acropolis and its temples, the Sibyl's Cave, the panoramic terrace with a breathtaking view on the gulf.
