Corinth Canal
A quick stop to loop around the canal. One of the most important projects of modern Greece, which played a catalytic role in the Mediterranean trade.
OPTIONAL: Ancient Corinth was inhabited in the Neolithic period (6500-3250 BC) but the big prosperity begins in the 8th century. Corinth was a city-state and for Christians, Corinth is well known from the two letters of Saint Paul in the New Testament, First and Second Corinthians. Corinth is also mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles as part of Paul the Apostle's missionary travels.
Archaeological Site Mycenae
The home of King Agamemnon and the Mycenean civilization. Mycenae 'Rich in Gold', the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon, first sung by Homer in his epics, is Greece's most important and richest palatial center of the Late Bronze Age.
