It is therefore there, in this town which cultivates the French way of life so well, and with a past steeped in history and culture, that Mathias Mansis – a local child – chose to set up his cellar. Passionate about wine, the young man naturally turned to oenology studies, then completed his career with studies in the wine and spirits business. With diplomas in hand, he worked as a sommelier in various establishments in Courchevel before deciding to strike out on his own. The selection offered at “La Cave de Mathias” is extremely rigorous with a panel allowing buyers to have a real insight into what the “Chateauneuf-du-Pape” appellation really is.
