Experience the best of the Santa Barbara coastline during an introductory surfing lesson at Mondo's Beach. Learn the basics with an instructor who focuses on the fundamentals of reading water, paddling, popping up, and riding as well as surf etiquette during your 2-hour lesson.

What's included in Surfing Lesson in Santa Barbara (2 Hours)
(Subject to Option Inclusions)This is simple introduction for a first time surfer or someone who has tried surfing a few times and needs some pointers. The instruction starts with beach lesson reviewing how to position yourself on the board, paddling techniques and proper stance. Once in the water students will get pointers on maneuvering waves, balance techniques and surf etiquette. Santa Barbara Adventure Company’s surf lessons offer students a great foundation to this exciting sport. Our knowledgeable instructors have over 25 years’ combined experience and will use their skills to point out the finer points of catching waves.

- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Children must be at least 7 years old, comfortable swimming in the ocean and ducking under waves
- Minimum numbers apply. Our surf lessons require a minimum of 4 participants to run. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
- If your group does not meet the minimum number, you do have the option to upgrade to the full day lesson (4hrs) for $30 more per person, and only requires 2 guests to operate.

- Look for an Adventure Company van and park anywhere in this area. Your guide will be set up with boards and a Santa Barbara Adventure Company umbrella on the beach. If you cannot find your guide within a few minutes - PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE.
