Our newer, more spacious catamaran allows for better viewing and more space to move around in. With almost floor to ceiling windows and more comfortable seating the heated main cabin boasts a luxurious whale watching experience. The second deck allows guests a view from above, giving a birds eye view of these magnificent animals in all their glory. This 49 passenger vessel is great for families, small children and larger groups. Our incredibly stable vessel offers a smoother ride and spectacular viewing for all ages!

For 2.5 hours you’ll be traveling through the waters of Icy Strait – home to a wide array of wildlife including Orcas (killer whales), Stellar sea lions, sea otters, Harbor seals, Dall’s porpoise, and the magnificent humpback whale. Keep an eye out for brown bears and Sitka Black-tailed deer meandering the shoreline, and the noble Bald eagle perched on tree-tops.
Whale watching in Icy Strait can take you to Point Adolphus, the world-renowned spot for extraordinary whale viewing. On this whale watching cruise, you will visit the most active playground of humpback whales in Southeast Alaska, where whale sightings are guaranteed! Breathtaking vistas of land and sea and Alaska’s magnificent creatures in the wild - this adventure is unforgettable.

MEETING LOCATION: PLEASE MEET 15 MINUTES BEFORE TOUR DEPARTURE TIME. Adventure Landing Arrival: Walk up the dock into the Adventure Center. Exit out Door Number 2 which will be clearly marked above it. Follow the path with signs leading you to the Excursions Hub. From Door Number 2 it is a short 2-minute walk. A representative holding a sign that reads Icy Strait Whale Adventures will be there to check you in. Wildnerness Landing Arrival: Walk up the dock and get on the Transporter Gondola.
