Spend a day at the south part of Heraklion Region. Discover its coast and scenic landscapes of Matala, swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Libyan Sea and take a walk to the world-wide known Caves of the Village. Enjoy the views over the bay and walk around the streets of the village to do some souvenir shopping or have lunch. During this tour you will also visit, the archaeological site of Gortyn, the Roman capital of the island of Crete which area was first inhabited around 7000 BC.

We will start collecting participants from pick-up points in the morning. Depending on the place of your hotel/apartment the bus ride will differ.
First stop will be at this unique archaeological place at the South of Crete, named Gortys, with sights from all periods of the 5000 years Cretan history. We will stay there for about 1hour.
Bus Drive to Matala: 20 minutes Free Time in Matala: 4.5 hours Clients are free to enjoy swimming, lunch and visit the famous hippy’s caves, the most popular hippies shelter during 60’s&70’s.

We pick up travellers from specific points in the areas of Sisi, Malia, Stalis, Hersonissos, Anissaras, Agkisaras, Gouves, Gournes, Kokkini Hani, Karteros, Amoudara, Agia Pelagia and from two centrally located points in Heraklion town. As soon as you make the booking we will contact you in order to let you know the exact place and time of the Pick-up which is closer to your place of hotel.
