Take a day to truly enjoy the wine and redwoods of Sonoma County through the eyes of the passionate and fun guides who know it best. This full-day tour is designed for small groups who want to learn, have fun, and get a local feel for the wineries and redwoods just north of San Francisco.
We purposefully choose NOT to go to Muir Woods, which is overrun with crowds and prevents our guests from fully enjoying the majesty of the Redwoods. Instead, we go to Armstrong Woods, which has older and taller trees, and far less crowds. The experience is for people that want to truly and fully experience the Giant California Coastal Redwoods. .

Golden Gate Bridge
We cross the iconic Golden Gate Bridge on our way to Wine country. We will stop at the best view locations for a perfect picture to start the day.
Guerneville
Gureneville is a small town outside of Armstrong woods that has been around for over 125 years. A perfect location for a stop after the drive to San Francisco before entering the woods
Armstrong Redwood State Reserve
Armstrong woods is a much better alternative to the Muir Woods. It is a less-crowded redwood forest with 1400 year old trees trees that soar 300 feet over the valley floor. These are the tallest living things on the planet. Armstrong woods is a perfect place to enjoy the grandeur of nature without crowds.

Your tour is with BEST BAY AREA TOURS. Please look for a gray or black bus with this signage. Please give a window of 15 minutes from pick up time in case previous passengers are not on time. If you have been confirmed the night before, you needn't call the office. • Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there is not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund • Wear warm clothing for the redwoods.
