Itinerary

Elkano 1 - Gaztagune

In the Basque mountains, cheese is king. Rooted in centuries of sheep farming, it’s a staple of the local diet. We’ll start at a small, artisanal shop featuring over 50 varieties of handcrafted Basque cheeses, each made using traditional methods. We’ll pick four of the best to take with us, experiencing firsthand why cheese is the heart of Basque gastronomy.

With cheese in hand, we’ll visit a lively, modern bar, where young chefs transform local, seasonal ingredients into exciting dishes. Here, we’ll pair our selection with San Sebastián’s most famous pintxo, served with a glass of natural wine. This stop blends tradition with creativity, making it a must-visit for food lovers

One of San Sebastián’s most iconic pintxo bars, this local favorite perfectly balances heritage and innovation. The menu mixes time-honored flavors with bold twists, capturing the essence of the city’s food scene. Nearby, Calle Mayor and Plaza de la Constitución invite you to explore the city’s rich history.
