With a local, English-speaking guide, explore Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Learn about the city’s storied history of Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman rule, and see both the old and new parts of the city. The tour hits several highlights including the Stone Bridge, Skopje Fortress, Matka Canyon, the Museum of National Struggle of Macedonia, and much more.

We will visit the Matka Canyon, one of the most beautiful places in the environment. Here we can visit the church of “St. Andrew” and take a small boat ride to the Vrelo cave.
The fortress is thought to have been built during the rule of emperor Justinian I and constructed further during the 10th and 11th centuries over the remains of emperor Justinian's Byzantine fortress which may have been destroyed due to a number of wars and battles in the region.
We will reveal the old part of Skopje and the Old Turkish Bazaar, and walk the cobblestone streets or visit some of the small shops. You can find some beautiful shops for handmade crafts and other souvenirs. You can have a Turkish coffee in one of the local cafes.
