Meet your guide and start this small group shared tour!
The tour starts from the original roman gate: Porta Marina Superiore. After an introduction about the history of Pompeii and the tragic eruption of the Mt. Vesuvius, your guide'll take you through the roman Forum where you'll discover the charming Forum Bath House recently reopened after years of maintenance! From there, you'll stroll towards the famous and iconic "Regio V". The tour will go to the house of the Silver Weddings which shows how was the home of a member of the Pompeian aristocracy. From there, strolling through via Stabiana you'll watch the facade of the house of "Caecilius Iucindus". The tour ends to the hidden gem of this visit: the "insula of Casti Amanti", a live archaeological site plus restaurateurs actively working on the spot. You'll be ready to remove the shroud of 2,000 years of time...photos or video are not allowed for obvious security reasons in this last part.
Porta Marina Superiore: the guide will be waiting for you outside the archaeological park with the sign “Pompeii Vip”. It forms the western entrance to the city and the name "Marina" comes from the fact that the outgoing road led to the sea. Admission Ticket is NOT included, but we provide a link to buy it online.
The Civil Forum represents the center of the city's daily life, overlooked by all the main public buildings for the administration of the city and justice, for the management of business, for commercial activities, such as markets, as well as the main places of city worship
Forum Baths: they are one of the best-preserved elements of the city. They were not large in size but had all the facilities of Roman baths. They were divided into two sections: male and female, with independent entrances. Always used as a repository for archaeological material, and thus occupied by bulky shelving, the Baths revealed painted surfaces that had remained unknown until now due to thick concretions obliterating their polychromatic.
