The Reina Sofia Museum, housed in an 18th-century former hospital, is Madrid’s leading contemporary art museum. Remodeled in 1992, it features an impressive collection of 20th-century Spanish art, highlighting renowned artists like Picasso, Salvador Dali, and Joan Miro. A key attraction is Picasso's monumental Guernica, located in Room 205. Visitors can also admire sculptures, including Miro’s distinctive works and a bust of Picasso by Pablo Gargallo. While Spanish art is the primary focus, the museum also showcases select works by international artists such as Francis Bacon. The collection is organized by theme, encouraging visitors to explore various areas to view all of Dali’s masterpieces, among other iconic works
