Singapore’s fifth wildlife park, Rainforest Wild ASIA, is the first adventure-based zoological park in Asia offers a window into the wild, immersing visitors in the wonders of an Asian rainforest. Accessible from Mandai Wildlife WEST, Rainforest Wild ASIA is set to offer a very different set of experiences. Inspired by treks through rainforests, guests will be invited to embark on journeys of discovery tailored to their appetite for adventure. This globally unique experience offers a variety of paths to explore, allowing adventurers to seek out wildlife and marvel at the wonders of a rainforest, both above and below the ground.
Rainforest Wild ASIA is designed with elements that will appeal to adventure-seeking goers, the 13-hectare Rainforest Wild ASIA welcomes everyone – from multi-generational families to energetic explorers. Guests are advised to put on comfortable shoes and bring a sense of adventure for their rainforest explorations. Wide elevated walkways with sheltered rest stops ensure accessibility to all including families with strollers and wheelchair users, providing opportunities for easy strolls to view diverse rainforest landscapes and animals. For a more rugged experience, guests can venture along forest trails scattered with fallen logs, boulders, streams and bridges. Those seeking adrenaline-pumping experiences can purchase harnessed experiences and guided tours offering high-element traverses across rock faces, freefall jumps and challenging caving adventures. Rainforest Wild ASIA is home to 36 iconic animal species, the threatened species François' langur and the Philippine spotted deer.
Participants will move safely along the via ferrata path at The Karsts, reaching heights of up to 20m. This aerial adventure will see them climb metal rungs, ladders and suspended bridges, while taking in the expansive views of the Mandai Wildlife Reserve and Langur Island habitat below.
Embark on an exhilarating harnessed adventure with scenic views of the rainforest and chance encounters with our langurs. Ideal for thrill-seekers, this experience combines elements of hiking, scaling rock faces as you overcome a series of high elements, including ladders and suspended bridges. Take in the views from atop the Karsts while savouring your sense of accomplishment!
Participants embark on a simulated cave expedition, exploring the nooks and crannies of the cavern system. From abseiling in the dark with only their headlamps illuminating the caves, to squeezing through tight spaces and navigating narrow tunnels, every step is filled with excitement. After exiting the cave adventure, participants will be guided through the main cavern, learning about fascinating speleothems. The adventure culminates with a photo-worthy moment as they make their way ’up’ the Oculus for a stunning shot – concluding this rock-solid adventure.
